Chrysler invented the minivan 43 years ago, and the refreshed 2027 Pacifica shows the brand still sets the pace in the segment it created. A bold new front end, new safety technology and more flexible option packages join the features families already count on every day.
Rivals such as the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey and Kia Carnival all promise family-friendly space. None of them can fold both rear rows into the floor, and none of them match the Pacifica's towing capacity. Here is a closer look at where the 2027 Pacifica pulls ahead.

Stow 'n Go: Seats That Disappear Into the Floor
Stow 'n Go is the feature that sets the Pacifica apart. The second- and third-row seats fold into the floor in seconds, creating a flat load surface with more than 3,964 L of cargo space. There is no heavy lifting, and no seats to haul out and store in the garage.
When the seats are up, the under-floor bins turn into hidden storage for weekend gear, groceries, sports equipment or road-trip snacks. More than 5 million Chrysler minivans have been sold with this system since it debuted, and Chrysler minivans remain the only vehicles in the segment with fold-flat seats in both the second and third rows. On the Pinnacle, the third row keeps Stow 'n Go, while removable second-row captain's chairs make room for the larger Ultra Console.
All-Wheel Drive Without Giving Up Stow 'n Go
The 2027 Pacifica is the only minivan that offers all-wheel drive together with second- and third-row Stow 'n Go seating. You get this pairing on the Select and Limited trims, while the Pinnacle comes with all-wheel drive as standard.
The Pacifica's intelligent all-wheel-drive system can send 100 per cent of available engine torque to the rear wheels or to the wheels with the most grip. When all-wheel drive is not needed, the system fully disconnects the power-transfer unit and rear drive module to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency. All-wheel-drive models also get a rear sway bar and extra ground clearance, which helps in heavy snow and on rougher roads. The Odyssey and Carnival offer front-wheel drive only.
The Most Towing in Its Class and a Proven V6

Every Pacifica uses the 3.6 L Pentastar V6 engine, rated at 287 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic transmission that is exclusive in the segment, for smooth acceleration when merging and passing.
With the available Trailer Tow Group, the Pacifica tows up to 1,632 kg (3,600 lbs), the most in its class. That is enough for small campers, personal watercraft and other recreational gear. Trailer-sway damping and a heavy-duty radiator add confidence when you tow.
The Most Safety and Security Features in Its Class
The 2027 Pacifica offers the most standard safety and security features in its class. The latest Safety Sphere Package, optional on Select and Limited and standard on Pinnacle, adds two new tools:
- Turn signal-activated Blind-spot View shows a live camera feed of the next lane on the centre touchscreen when you use your turn signal.
- ParkSense-based camera activation automatically brings up the right camera view when the sensors detect an object during low-speed parking.
- 360-degree surround view camera and front and rear park assist with stop carry over to help in tight spaces.
New projector headlamps also deliver 17 per cent more maximum reach than before, for better visibility on dark roads.
A Quiet, Family-Focused Cabin
Active Noise Cancellation is standard on every Pacifica. It works with laminated acoustic glass on the windshield and front side windows, plus triple door seals, to keep the cabin quiet enough for third-row passengers to chat easily with those up front.
For 2027, Chrysler splits its tech features into two packages so families pay only for what they want. The Family Tech Group adds an upgraded audio system, Uconnect 5 NAV with a 25.7 cm (10.1-inch) display, an eight-way power front passenger seat, extra power outlets and the FamCAM interior camera, which can even zoom in on a rear-facing child seat. The Theatre Group adds Amazon Fire TV built in, seatback video screens and a multi-channel remote. A new adjustable-height power liftgate is standard on every trim, so it will not bump into a low garage ceiling.
Which 2027 Chrysler Minivan Is Right for You?
The Chrysler minivan lineup covers a wide range of family budgets and needs:
The Canadian-exclusive Grand Caravan offers an entry point with power sliding doors, heated seats and a heated steering wheel. The Select adds the new front design, available all-wheel drive and available eight-passenger seating. The Limited adds more comfort and technology, with available all-wheel drive and the new welcome lighting animation. The range-topping Pinnacle brings standard all-wheel drive, an exclusive Blue Agave Nappa leather interior and the Ultra Console.
